His Majesty King Felipe visited this morning the Telefónica stand at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025, where he was received by Marc Murtra, Executive Chairman of the company; Carlos Ocaña, Vice-Chairman; and Ángel Vilà, COO.
The delegation included Salvador Illa, President of the Generalitat of Catalonia; Óscar López, Minister for Digital Transformation and Public Service; David Quirós, Mayor of L’Hospitalet; Jaume Collboni, Mayor of Barcelona; and John Hoffman, CEO of GSMA, among others. During the visit, they were able to see some of the use cases presented by Telefónica based on the 5G network and the advanced capabilities of Open Gateway, such as the planning and execution of safe and efficient flights, allowing risks to be anticipated and routes to be optimized in real time.
