Rapidev becomes the first company from Pakistan to join the international critical communications community
For the first time, a Pakistani company has joined the community where the standards for the world’s mission-critical communications are influenced. Rapidev Group, the Islamabad-headquartered company, has been admitted to TCCA, the global member-led association for the critical communications sector, becoming the first member the organisation has welcomed from Pakistan.
With more than 200 engineers and developers across its Pakistan-based facilities, including its Software House, R&D Centre and in-house SMT manufacturing facility, Rapidev delivers a ‘Made in Pakistan’ portfolio of secure hardware and intelligent software solutions to clients across the Middle East, Africa and South Asia.
Founded in 2017 as a small R&D initiative, Rapidev has since grown into a multi-disciplinary team delivering integrated systems across secure communications and intelligence platforms for national security and smart city operations, network infrastructure for reliable connectivity, and energy and environmental systems for sustainable urban operations, handling everything from consultancy through deployment in-house.
The milestone reaches beyond Rapidev’s own growth story. TCCA’s membership spans the operators, agencies and manufacturers who influence the standards, TETRA among them, that police forces, ambulance services, utilities and defence organisations rely on every day. Rapidev’s admission gives Pakistan a direct voice in that community for the first time, at a moment when the country’s technology sector is increasingly exporting expertise rather than importing it.

In 2025, Rapidev achieved CMMI Maturity Level 5¹, reflecting the company’s commitment to disciplined, world-class processes. The accreditation shows a focus on continuous improvement and gives Rapidev the stability to pivot quickly in response to new opportunities, a foundation for both agility and innovation.
