Ayaadi launches the second phase of its Ershad project in collaboration with the UAE's Ministry of Education

Etisalat’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, Ayaadi, today launched the second phase of its Ershad project in collaboration with the UAE’s Ministry of Education.
The new program, which aims to enhance the skills of teaching staff around the Emirates, provides the tools to develop the learning process. It will also help the teachers manage these latest developments and utilize the most effective teaching methods in the educational sector.
The second phase of Ershad program, to be implemented between 9th September and 11th October, includes training sessions as well as workshops in Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. These workshops will discuss the importance of psychology and its impact on the future of education and will address the foundations and theories of psychology including ways to deal with the health and personal problems of students by highlighting different case studies.
Ali Al Ahmed, Chief Corporate Communications Officer at Etisalat, said: “We started implementing the second phase of our Ershad project with the aim to provide teachers in UAE with all the tools to assist them in promoting the educational process, and enabling them to better understand students’ problems and find the best solutions to help them develop ideal teaching methods”.
Ayaadi successfully completed the first phase of this project by selecting 100 teachers and counselors to attend a training program which introduced them to the importance of psychology and its potential benefits in supporting the educational sector in the country. Workshops have also been organized to present studies for different cases from the career field in addition to testing personal styles of students and how they affect the selection of an educational path and thus its impact on the career path.
Each participant was given a home task to work on and was required to communicate with the program presenter for feedback and discussion in the period between the first and second phases.
Ayaadi, launched in 2011 by Etisalat, is the platform for a national social project that seeks to achieve significant objectives. Its strategic objectives are geared towards achieving sustainable growth for the UAE community through the provision of technology solutions in the education sector and other social sectors. The initiative also seeks to raise awareness of various socially relevant issues among individuals and institutions, and encourages them to contribute to voluntary work in line with their experience.
