Eurocloud Awards 2012 Results: Hungarian Water Rescue Service Is The Most Productive Cloud User In Europe

Budapest] CE On-Demand is proud to announce one of its long-standing clients, the Hungarian Water Rescue Service (HWRS), has won 1^st prize at EuroCloud Awards 2012, for having the ‘Best Business Impact Through Deploying Cloud Services’. The award was handed over to Sándor Bagyó, President of HWRS, at the EuroCloud Europe Award Gala 2012 in Luxembourg.

This year’s Pan-European Cloud Championship was made up of five categories. For the first time, this year a new award category has been created for a cloud user organisation demonstrating best business impact achieved by deploying cloud services.
Sándor Bagyó, President of Hungarian Water Rescue Service said: “We have been using the integrated unified communication services platform delivered from CE On-Demand’s cloud for more than two years now. Thanks to the business productivity-enhancing qualities of the solution, HWRS has saved thousands of Euros in travel and communication costs and liberated over 1,500 man-days every year in staff resources. The introduction of cloud-based IT services to our organisation made a huge impact on our internal communication flow, making it easier to cope with the 20+{e1f18614b95d3cd6e4b3128e1cd15d99b042a60a5a19c19b7a8e07e7495efa10} increase in the number of emergency calls year-on-year. This summer season only we’ve delivered services in 52 locations, responded to 1,655 emergency calls, resuscitated 7 lives, and salvaged 21 boats from Hungarian waters. Without a seamless and integrated communication platform HWRS could not have been this efficient!”

Hungarian Water Rescue Service, who has been the customer of CE On-Demand since 2010, was elected Best Cloud User at EuroCloud Awards Hungary earlier this year. During that same event,  CE On-Demand’s in-house developed provisioning and administrative platform, the Cloud Services Manager™ was awarded for having the Strongest International Impact while Telenor Hungary, a major go-to-market partner of CE On-Demand, received the first prize for the Best Cloud Services Business Case.
