Fujitsu has joined the GreenTouch Consortium, a global initiative dedicated to improving the energy efficiency of information and communications technology (ICT) networks by a factor of 1,000. Fujitsu will collaborate with other GreenTouch member organisations, including service providers, industrial labs and academic institutions from across the industry, to enable research and invent new technologies that will enable more energy efficient networks, and create the network architecture, specifications and roadmaps that will define them. Fujitsu looks forward to applying experience in networking technology and communications to advance GreenTouch initiatives in core transmissions, mobile communications and wireline access networks. Fujitsu’s Network Business Group and its subsidiary Fujitsu Network Communications, based in the United States, will be involved in GreenTouch activities.
