Monstarlab to invest ten million US dollars in MENA region

Monstarlab, the Japanese technology leader, has announced it will invest ten million US dollars in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region over the next five years. The investment comes as part of a continued commitment to the regional market with a focus on developing advanced capabilities and job opportunities for technology talent. Monstarlab will deliver enhanced training, hiring and coaching of people in the region as the company aims to support the advancement of regional skills and business opportunities.

Backed by a 30 million US dollar fund from the Japanese government, Monstarlab will invest at least a third of this amount on regional initiatives including strategic partnerships and mergers and acquisitions in key markets including the UAE and KSA. Through its focus on attracting the world’s best strategists, engineers, and designers, Monstarlab will drive economic diversification and job opportunities through the delivery of transformation initiatives requiring custom development and advanced technologies.

Monstarlab has already delivered successful projects for a number of customers in the region including Careem, for which Monstarlab built and launched the Careem Now platform pre-acquisiton. The Japanese technology leader has also worked with Kerzner International, having built and operated their online booking platform for Atlantis The Palm and the One&Only resorts.

Monstarlab recently completed an extensive rebranding effort in response to rapid company growth and a renewal of its positioning. The relaunch of Monstarlab’s corporate identity includes a change of name for multiple agencies and consultancies acquired over the last five years, in addition to a refreshed visual identity.
