Indosat Ooredoo Wins ‘Telecommunications Company of the Year’ at the Stevie International business awards

Indosat Ooredoo has won three prestigious awards at the 2021 edition of the Stevie International Business Awards (IBAs), taking home two Gold and one Silver awards.

The Stevie IBAs honor organizations’ outstanding performance and positive contributions worldwide, with this year’s winners selected from more than 3,700 nominations submitted by organizations from 65 different countries.

Indosat Ooredoo was named the global ‘Telecommunications Company of the Year’ at this year’s awards in recognition of the success of its transformation strategy and its outstanding financial performance, which has seen it consistently delivering revenue growth that has outperformed the industry.

The Gold Stevie also acknowledged Indosat Ooredoo’s focus on simple, transparent, and innovative products, its investment in expanding and strengthening its video grade 4G network, and driving digital innovation through strategic partnerships with global technology companies. This commitment to digital transformation and network enhancement saw Indosat Ooredoo launch its first commercial 5G service in the city of Solo during Q2 2021, marking the beginning of its journey in powering the 5G revolution in Indonesia and helping to move the nation towards a 5G-enabled future.

In recognition of his outstanding leadership of Indosat Ooredoo in the face of the ongoing challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic, Ahmad Al-Neama was also awarded the Gold Stevie for ‘Executive of the Year – Telecommunications’.  The award recognized Al-Neama for his strong commitment towards good governance and innovation, including Indosat Ooredoo’s focus on new digital products and services that have helped customers adapt to online lifestyles, and for his commitment to employee engagement, welfare, and development.

Under the ‘AI/ML and Automation Driven Network Operation Transformation’ category, Indosat Ooredoo was also awarded the Silver Stevie for its successful Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning deployment to transform the data-driven operations and boost its 4G radio network performance.
