Etisalat Supports and Participates in the Fujairah Career Fair 2011

Offers 100 job opportunities for Emiratis
In line with its commitment to support the Emiratisation drive in the UAE, a strategy which Etisalat has implemented for more than three decades, Etisalat today announced provision of 100 job opportunities for Emiratis and support of the fifth Fujairah Career Fair, taking place from May 17-19 at the Fujairah Exhibition Centre.
Etisalat’s participation in the exhibition is part of the Corporation’s ongoing efforts to widen career options for young Emiratis and introduce them to various career training programmes and tools available in Etisalat, to enable them to support the continuous development efforts in the UAE.

Abdul Aziz Al Sawaleh, Group Chief Human Resources Officer, Etisalat, said: “Etisalat has extensive UAE competencies and talents, not only within the top management level but also in other areas, and young Emiratis working at the Corporation have a high level of efficiency and a high responsibility and duty to fulfill their roles effectively and in a professional manner. Etisalat participates in such exhibitions to introduce and encourage UAE youth to take advantage of required skills in the marketplace and potential employment opportunities.”
Al Sawaleh added: “Etisalat has become one of the largest operators in the world, and as such we require industry-specific experience, as there is a need to implement advanced strategies in managing our operation both internally and externally. We continue to fulfill our national role of supporting graduates and attracting talent, as human capital is a true investment which will continue to be reflected on the performance and leading position of the Corporation in the future.”
Mohammed Khalifa Al Zayoudi, Director of the Fujairah Department of Human Resources, said: “Etisalat plays a significant role in its efforts towards Emiratisation and its ability to provide job opportunities for young national competencies, and the Corporation’s high-percentage of Emiratis in its workforce reinforces this fact.”
“As such, we are always keen to seek Etisalat’s representation and participation in all recruitment shows in the emirate of Fujairah, especially with the increased number of graduates now seeking job opportunities here,” Al Zayoudi concluded.
Etisalat develops leadership skills of its staff by providing dedicated training programmes in line with the highest international standards, for both administrative and leadership roles. The number of Emirati employees consist of 35{e1f18614b95d3cd6e4b3128e1cd15d99b042a60a5a19c19b7a8e07e7495efa10} of the current workforce, which accounts for more than 3,200 employees. Emirtization percentage in Etisalat in Fujairah and the East Coast is 60{e1f18614b95d3cd6e4b3128e1cd15d99b042a60a5a19c19b7a8e07e7495efa10} of the total number of the corporation’s employees working in that area. Etisalat’s clear strategy for Emiratisation ensures UAE Nationals are employed within all core pillars of the business including financial, engineering, technical and marketing departments, providing a rich selection of competencies in a wide range of fields. The same is applied through Etisalat’s leadership positions as 90{e1f18614b95d3cd6e4b3128e1cd15d99b042a60a5a19c19b7a8e07e7495efa10} of executive management positions are filled by UAE Nationals.
