Qvantel has announced a major expansion with the opening of new operations, services and support centres in Islamabad and Lahore, Pakistan. This enables Qvantel to provide local BSS expertise and managed services to Jazz, Qvantel’s long-term customer and the leading operator in Pakistan.
In establishing these centres, Qvantel has hired over 100 BSS professionals in Pakistan. They are working with Jazz to ensure that Qvantel’s Digital BSS provides a platform for growth and enables Jazz to deliver the best customer experience to their base of over 73 million mobile subscribers. As part of this strategic expansion, Qvantel will also leverage Garaj, Jazz’s state-of-the-art Cloud platform, for co-location and hosting services—ensuring scalable, secure, and locally hosted infrastructure for critical operations.
Part of the VEON Group, Jazz is at the forefront of Pakistan’s digital revolution, driving transformative change through its digital operator strategy. Jazz has gone beyond providing connectivity and offers digital products and services that cater to every moment of the day and are becoming a constant digital companion to their customers. They have transformed from a telecom operator to a ServiceCo, and by focusing on strengthening digital services, investing in emerging technologies, and expanding 4G coverage, Jazz is driving the digital economy in Pakistan and creating equal opportunities for all.
“We’ve been using Qvantel’s Digital BSS for years, and its agility has been a key driver in our leadership as Pakistan’s leading digital operator,” said Khalid Shehzad, Chief Technology Officer at Jazz. “The platform’s ability to consolidate multiple systems into one has greatly increased our operational efficiency and opened up new revenue streams. With Qvantel’s new centres in Pakistan, we look forward to accelerating the digital transformation of the country together.”
“Jazz is a textbook example of how to turn a digital operator strategy into a day-to-day reality that is empowering people with innovative digital services,” said Tero Kivisaari, President, Qvantel. “By opening these centres and hiring the best BSS experts in the country, we are strengthening our partnership with Jazz and are working closely with them to innovate and grow. I look forward to a long-term success partnership with Jazz that continues to deliver real change and make a difference.”
