Sale of Samsung Android tablets stalled in Australia; legal action awaited

Apple succeeds in augmenting a temporary ban on the sale of a USA version Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet device in Australia while the settlement of the continuing patent lawsuit is awaited.
Additionally, Samsung is to produce samples of the optimized models of the handset that were lined up by the company for launch in Australia soon.
According to sources, Apple has agreed to pay for damages albeit unspecified for the moment, which stand to be meted out to Samsung, should the former lose the patent infringement lawsuit, as part of the agreement for stalling sale of the tablet device.
Samsung was accused of infringing ten of Apple’s patents that also related to the iPad’s aesthetic aspects. Apple has existing lawsuits in the USA that cite Samsung smartphones’ striking similarity to its iPhone range.
