Qatar Telecom (QTel) Q.S.C. : Qtel shares the joy of Qatar national day

Qtel employees and volunteers shared the pride and joy of the nation over Qatar National Day, organising a wide range of activities and fully participating in the celebrations.
A major focus of Qtel support this year was a range of fun activities in the Qtel Fan Zone for the Arab Games. In addition, dozens of Qtel employees joined the special #cleanupdoha campaign, a social media-inspired initiative that saw people take to the streets to help pick up rubbish left after the incredible events of the day.
In honour of National Day, Qtel decorated over 1,000 cars at the Qtel Fan Zone for the Arab Games.
In a specially-designed area, people were able to have their cars decorated with flags, seat covers, mirror covers and stickers, celebrating the National Day spirit – ‘We are all for Qatar’. Promoted through social media, people were invited to have their cars decorated by Qtel and hundreds of people over three days joined in the fun and took advantage of this free offer.
National Day also saw the “Barney and Friends” concerts, with hundreds of children entertained in celebration of National Day with proceeds from tickets going to a local charity.
The excitement of Barney and Friends continues with concerts until December 22. There will be two concerts per day and tickets are available at the Villaggio, Landmark and City Center Qtel Shops, and through Virgin Megastores ticketing.
Qtel also reached out to schools, distributing gifts and special prizes to over 40 schools across the country.
