The Egyptian government said the country’s mobile phone subscriptions have increased by 25.76 percent to 80.39 million in the year to September, Reuters reported. In September 2010, Egypt’s three mobile operators, Etisalat Egypt, Mobinil and the Egypt unit of Vodafone, had 63.93 million subscriptions. In the third quarter alone, the three operators added nearly 4 million new customers.
