Batelco Sponsorship Supports Awali Golf Club’s 49th Bahrain Open

Batelco, Bahrain’s leading telecommunications provider was proud to support Awali Golf Club’s 49th Bahrain open, which took place on Friday and Saturday, March 9th and 10th at the Club’s premises in Awali. Golfers from several nationalities competed in the two day annual event alongside top Bahraini golfers.
Prior to the Bahrain Open, the Awali Golf Club hosted a Corporate Day Tournament on Thursday March 8th for sponsors of the tournament. Two Batelco teams which included staff and guests participated in the competition against teams of other sponsors.
Batelco Group General Manager Media Relations Ahmed Al-Janahi said that Batelco was delighted to support the annual Awali Golf Club Open which was taking place for the 49th year.
“At Batelco, we place great importance on supporting and encouraging local sporting events. The game of golf is growing in popularity in the Kingdom due to the number of high caliber tournaments that now take place around the Middle East region,” he added.
