Nawras, Oman’s customer friendly communications provider, is excited to be talking to customers and receiving more feedback through its new Facebook page and Twitter account. Judging by the amazing response of around 1500 Twitter followers on launch day and over 2000 Facebook likes on the day the page went live, it is clear that customers are keen to communicate with Nawras people via social media.
Nawras customers are eagerly participating and getting in touch to share their ideas, comments and thoughts about telecom, industry trends, football, Oman and much more. In the first few days, the new communication channels were used to congratulate brand Ambassador Ali Al Habsi and the Omani team following their fantastic football triumph. Through social media, Nawras also highlighted the great value of the 49 Baiza international calling rate, using the 0902 prefix.
Through www.facebook.com/nawras and twitter.com/nawras_Oman, the company is enhancing the customer experience further by sharing news, asking and answering questions and discussing topical events. With large internal and external teams involved, a lively dialogue with customers is already underway.
Mutassim Al-Zadjali, Head of Corporate Affairs, said, “We have been looking forward to engaging our customers in this way by actively using these new channels to develop even closer links. Social media is a fun, informative and fast way for us to engage with our customers in real time and we know many people in Oman are already fans of Facebook and Twitter. We are thrilled with the amazing response so far and thank all those who have already liked our page or sent a message or a tweet.”
By the end of the first week, over 6000 customers had joined the Facebook page with Nawras keen to continue encouraging feedback, helping customers and hearing what they have to say. Twitter followers are growing in number too. So far, tweets are covering many different topics ranging from questions about the launch of new technology, specific enquiries on devices and thanks for presenting great musical events like ‘Thirty Seconds to Mars’.
Facebook and Twitter are the latest of many different ways Nawras customers can get closer to their pleasingly different telecoms provider.
