Batelco Supports Bahrain International e-Government Forum as Diamond Sponsor

Batelco, the Kingdom’s leading telecommunications provider, proudly announces its support for the Bahrain International e-Government Forum 2012 as the Diamond Sponsor for the Event, which takes place from April 9 – 11 at the Ritz Carlton – Bahrain.
The Event aims to bring together the brightest minds and the latest solutions in the e-Government arena with a focus on the private sector. Prominent international speakers will share their visions, experiences and future forecasts regarding e-Government technologies and innovations from across the world.
Batelco Group General Manager Media Relations Ahmed Al Janahi said that Batelco was very proud to lend its support to the annual e-Government Forum with its noble aim to enhance the lives of residents of the Kingdom of Bahrain, an aim which Batelco is fully committed to.
Batelco Enterprise and Government Division General Manager Adel Al Daylami noted that technology has become an integrated part of our daily life and is no longer considered a luxury for many people.
“In particular, decision makers and industry experts consider e-technology as an invaluable opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences,” he added.
Batelco is a close partner of the Government and plays a crucial role in enabling e-government initiatives including the provision of infrastructure, Broadband and the @ltijara payment gateway plus more. Batelco’s support for the event confirms its commitment to the Kingdom’s e-government project and to the Kingdom’s 2030 vision, established by HM The King, Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa.
Chairman of Bahrain International eGovernment Forum Abdul Majeed AlGassab said that they are very grateful to Batelco for their generous support for the Forum.
“It is such a laudable commitment by our national companies, that allowed us to make available such a wonderful opportunity to bring together IT professionals, communication solution providers, e-Government agencies and other related experts,” he said.
