Batelco Offers E-Learning Programme for University Students

Batelco, one of the Kingdom’s major supporters of educational initiatives has launched a new e-Learning programme for university students. The first two groups of students from Ahlia University and University of Bahrain (UoB) recently visited Batelco Training  Centre where they completed short e-Learning courses, guided by the Centre’s skilled teaching staff.
This is the beginning of a new programme, designed and developed specifically to support university students to help them enhance their skills. All the courses are offered free for the students in an effort to support Bahraini youth and the educational goals of the local community.
Students who meet the requirements of the e-Learning courses will be awarded with certificates by Batelco.
Batelco Bahrain General Manager HR Suhaila Alnowakhda said that Batelco strives to support educational efforts as part of its CSR programme.
“Batelco’s e-Learning programme has been in place for a few years now and many of our staff have availed of the opportunity to enhance their knowledge and skills. We have an extensive choice of courses available covering a wide range of subject areas.”
“We are delighted to open our training facility to students from local leading educational establishments. The e-Learning experience has proven to be very successful and we are confident that the university students will benefit greatly through participation,” added Mrs. Alnowakhda.
The students from Alia and UoB applied to the programme during visits Batelco staff made to their universities. A number of additional students from these and other 3rd level establishments, who have also applied to attend e-Learning sessions, will visit Batelco soon.
