Experience the Future ICT WORLD in 2017 ITU TELECOM WORLD

Two Days of Free Admission for Students, September 27-28

The city provides an opportunity for all students from high school and university in the Busan Regional Area to attend ITU Telecom World for free.

High school students should be accompanied by a guardian.

A Special Lecture will be given on the topic of Software for 4th Industrial Revolution on 27th September. On September 28th, a Forum will be held for the ‘communication of global leaders and youths’ including: Becoming a global leader; ICT convergence hackathon competition; SW convergence concert; and Inspiring the next generation.

The Director of the Telecommunication Standardization Sector of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU-T), Jae-Seop Lee will make a speech on Youth Challenging International Organizations.

More than 500 companies are participating in this 2017 ITU Telecom World exhibition including large companies such as KT, SKT, and other Mid-Sized companies with developments in 5G technology, Internet of Things (IoT), Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR), 3D experience without glasses, and the Smart City Project, therefore it would be a wonderful opportunity for citizens to participate to experience the future ICT world themselves.

In addition, Busan Metropolitan City signed a multilateral business agreement with promising start-ups such as XnTree and WeGO to build ‘Busan Smart City Platform’ to attract and nurture excellent start-up businesses in Busan during the event. In addition, about 260 ‘Global Business Matchmaking’ and 1:1 buyer invitation consultations are taking place.

The “2017 ITU Telecom World” will end with a grand finale at the end of the September 28 with the Start-up Competition Awards (14:00) and the closing ceremony (16:00).
