Alcatel-Lucent will enable Asia Pacific Telecom (APT), a fixed, mobile and internet service provider in Taiwan, for the expansion of its delivery of high-speed 3G services and to meet customers’ growing demand for video, internet and data services on-the-move.APT will extend its fixed and mobile services in the second half of 2012 to deliver seamless data services- including the latest multimedia applications – to business and residential customers, said the company.
Alcatel-Lucent will replace equipment previously supplied to APT by other vendors, and the Taiwanese company will be able to utilise lightRadio portfolio to further expand and differentiate its services.

Alcatel-Lucent, under the agreement will deliver its market-leading 3G mobile broadband solution, based on CDMA EV-DO technology and its proprietary IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) technology. The company will also deploy its full services expertise in the delivery and integration of third party equipment.
