Alia Zafar Director Human Capital

Alia Zafar, is versatile strategic Human Resource Professional, Lead Trainer, Management Consultant and certified Hays’s Job Evaluation Professional. She has 17 years of hands-on experience in diverse industries operating over multiple jurisdictions. Her versatile expertise in change management and restructuring in large organization supports her style as a strategic professional who deploys participative management style with a fast-paced and diverse workforce. She has been groomed at Civil Services Academy of Pakistan as part of Income Tax occupational group with a background in Strategic Planning and Management, Financial Management and Sector assessment, Policy Planning, Capacity Assessment, Development and HRM Processes, Organizational Restructuring and Redesign. She is co-author of the book “Directory of Terms –HRM”, a popular reference book at educational institutes for Human Resource Management students. She was recently awarded “HR Professional of the Year ‘by Asia Pacific HR Congress 11th Edition, 2012.
Alia holds a Masters in Business Administration and Master in Arts in English Literature. She is a certified Human Resource professional from NUST Business School and HRIT professional from SICF, Hokkaido, Japan. She has served in large financial /hospitality organizations including Internal Revenue Service Pakistan, Habib Bank Limited Pakistan and at Hashoo Group Pakistan at various senior strategic positions within Human Resource Function.

Recipient of HR Professional of the Year 2012 at the Asia Pacific HRM Congress 2012 – 11th Edition held on 6th & 7th September, 2012 at Vivanta by Taj, Bangalore.
The special feature of the Asia Pacific HRM Congress was the “Asia Pacific Congress Awards 2012”, recognizing individuals and acknowledgement Organizations for a professional cause in various award categories. The objective at core was benchmarking talent & HR practices.
Alia was conferred the “HR Professional of the Year” award by a jury and Council of Board members. The Award consisted of a trophy and a citation.
