Batelco, as part of its commitment to youths and education, has announced its Gold sponsorship for Career Expo 2012 organised by the National Society for the Support of Education & Training (NSSET). The three day event will take place at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) from November 6th to 8th.
In 2010, the Expo attracted over 25,000 visitors and participants from 90 organisations across all industries in the Kingdom of Bahrain and it is hoped to exceed this success at this year’s event.
Batelco General Manager Human Resources Bahrain Suhaila Alnowakhda presented the sponsorship cheque to Career Expo 2012 Chairman Abdulellah Ebrahim Al Qassimi during a recent meeting at Batelco’s Hamala Headquarters.
Mrs. Alnowakhda said that Batelco was a very keen supporter of the youth of Bahrain particularly when it comes to education and careers.
“As a major employer of Bahraini’s, Batelco is very supportive of events that provide career guidance advice to young people. We look forward to meeting potential future employees at our stand at the expo where our HR personnel will be on hand to provide advice and answer questions about careers in the telecommunications industry,” Mrs. Alnowakhda added.
Mr. Al Qassimi explained that the Career Expo targets Bahraini secondary and higher education students, vocational students, jobseekers, parents and the community at large, in an effort to enhance Bahraini students and jobseekers understanding of the professional world and to guide them in choosing or changing their careers.
As a result of the Expo, Bahrainis will be better informed, better prepared, more suited to the work they choose to undertake and fully aware of work realities,” he said.
Batelco’s sponsorship programme provides support to a wide range of education, health, sports and cultural initiatives every year.
