Sri Lanka ends Q1 with 18.86 million mobile subscribers

Sri Lanka ended the first quarter with 18.86 million mobile subscribers, up 6.4 percent year-on-year. Meanwhile, fixed-line users grew 5.5 percent to 958,038, the Lanka Business Online reports citing figures from the central bank. Furthermore, the number of fixed wireless access users grew slightly, by 0.6 percent, to 2.66 million. The number of internet users totalled 1.09 million in Q1, up 84.4 percent from a year earlier.
