ZTE grows market share in optical network by 5 percent in 2011

ZTE has increased its market share in the global optical network by 5 percent in 2011. ZTE gained the most market share of any company in the world for the second year in the global optical network market, with a 1.8 share increase compared to 2010. Global optical network growth will involve 40G, 100G, and OTN switching and packet transport. With a focus on these technologies, ZTE has made 100G, ultra-100G and OTN products a priority. Its optical network aggregation layer product (multi-service bearing) revenue exceeded USD 1.1 billion. In the converged packet optical (CPO) market, the ZTE ZXCTN series optical packet integrated service has a growth to 17 percent market share.
