HISPASAT, the Spanish satellite services and solutions operator and provider of the Red Eléctrica Group, is once again attending the NAB 2022 trade fair this year in Las Vegas to present its new wholesale television solution in an OTT (Over-the-Top) setting. This new service will allow pay television operators, internet service providers (ISPs) and regional content companies to offer their clients a high-quality, multi-screen entertainment service over the internet so they will not need to roll out their own infrastructure. This service reduces the initial investment as well as the time required to launch these types of solutions.
HISPASAT will take charge of the comprehensive service operations and provide the infrastructure for video processing from its teleport in Lurín (Peru) including the reception of linear content (TV channels) and a la carte content, as well as coding and publications, along with the additional tools to aggregate and manage the content and the offering, group and set prices and view the design of the apps.
Additionally, HISPASAT is presenting Hispasat Wave Video at its stand (W8510). The company’s latest generation managed multimedia services include scalable end-to-end solutions to send and broadcast television and content by satellite and OTT technology. Wave Video allows operators, distributors, ISPs and content providers to reduce their costs and extend their reach to the largest audience possible. Hispasat Wave Video solutions have capitalized on HISPASAT’s acquisition of the assets and signal transportation operations of Media Networks Latin America in Peru in 2021.
