As part of its efforts to support “Jood Eskan” Initiative, stc signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Development Housing Foundation (Sakan), aiming to promote and develop joint efforts between the two parties in a step to form a strategic partnership for providing digital support to “Jood Eskan” Initiative. The MoU was signed in presence of stc’s Chairman of the Board of Directors, H.R.H Prince Mohammad Bin Khalid Al Abdullah Al Faisal, and the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing H.E. Majed Bin Abdullah Al-Hoqai, this was on the sidelines of His Excellency’s visit to the stc’s Digital Operations Control Center.
The agreement was signed by Head of Support Services Sector of National Development Housing Foundation Mr. Yazeed Ibrahim Alnefesah, and from stc by Eng. Abdullah Abdulrahman Alkanhl, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, in presence of the Group CEO of stc, Eng. Olayan Bin Mohammed Alwetaid, and a number of officials from the ministry, Sakan and stc group.
The memorandum of understanding revolves around the cooperation between stc and “Jood Eskan” platform in relation to Qitaf program. Furthermore, it supports “Jood Eskan” initiative with awareness text messages, raising the initiative’s mobile subscribers, to benefit from the services of the digital sustainability platform through which stc provides technical empowerment to non-profit organizations.
During his visit, the Minister was briefed on the capabilities provided by stc’s Digital Operations Control Center (DOCC), and its role in serving government sectors in the field of digital transformation. The Minister attended a visual presentation on advanced digital operations in the areas of simulation, digital infrastructure management, crisis management and innovation, which aims to enhance the Kingdom’s position as a leading regional business center.
stc and the ministry’s cooperation falls under several national projects that will contribute to enabling the digital transformation of the municipal sector, to reach pioneering services for digital cities that provide a prosperous life for customers based on a sustainable digital structure, develop new business models and innovative customer journeys, and enable investment opportunities from data and services, thus raising the level of customer satisfaction and participation, as well as providing unified and reliable data to improve the flexibility and efficiency of the digital system.
It is worth mentioning that this visit comes within the framework of the existing partnership between the Ministry and stc, which resulted in continuous cooperation across several digital projects in various fields, including cloud computing services, electronic signature and critical communications. These projects contribute to providing digital services that positively reflect on the quality of the municipal sector, where the digital and technical transformation is in line with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
