du announced the launch of Social BlackBerry Service

In keeping with its promise of bringing customers the latest services at great value, du today announced the launch of Social BlackBerry Service. du is the first telecom service provider in the region to offer its customers a daily BlackBerry service. Social BlackBerry service from du offers access to a suite of social networking websites and various messaging platforms, starting from just AED30 a month.
Customers subscribed to either an Elite Plan or Pay as you Go® line can subscribe to the all-new Social BlackBerry service, which gives instant access to social networking websites: Facebook and MySpace, as well as instant messaging platforms such as BlackBerry® Messenger (BBM™), Google Talk™, Yahoo! Messenger and Windows Live Messenger.
“Our Social BlackBerry Service is the result of carefully considering our customers’ needs and requirements, and creating a package specifically tailored for BlackBerry users who utilise their phones as a means of connecting with family, friends and the online world,” said Farid Faraidooni, Chief Commercial Officer, du. “We aim to delight our customers by bringing them the best value products to better meet their communications needs.”
For Elite Plan customers, the Social BlackBerry service is available for a monthly subscription fee of just AED30; Pay as you Go® customers can access the service at a rate of AED1.5 per day, with costs being charged to either ‘more time’ or ‘more credit’ balances. All subscriptions are recurrent, which means it will automatically be renewed unless the customer chooses to opt out.
