NSN to get "One Way Ticket" from Pakistan?

It has been learnt from the reliable sources that Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) has decided in principle to close their operation in Pakistan. The news arrives at a high time while the country is getting ready to auction the frequency spectrum for next generation mobile services. It is said that one of the main reason behind this closure could be the recent exile of NSN for a several hundred million dollar contract with Telenor Pakistan. Telenor Pakistan has reportedly decided in principle to get ZTE’s services for the project replacing its entire access and core network infrastructure throughout the country. It may also be noted that NSN after losing Telenor’s contract is left with no major work in the country at present.
The company since its operation in early 2007 has been rated among the top network solution providers in the country.
