President & CEO of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), Walid Irshaid has said that despite prevailing economic challenges the company has secured unprecedented growth this year due to employees’ persistent hard work and initiative.
“My heartiest congratulations to all employees of PTCL who are key players in what we are doing through this company today,” said Mr. Irshaid in his inaugural address delivered at PTCL’s annual two-day ‘Way Forward Conference 2012’ held on July 6-7 at the picturesque Pearl Continental Hotel in Muzzaffarabad, Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK).
PTCL was the first licensed operator to launch telecommunication services in AJK in 2008, making it the telecom giant’s 18th operational region.
Entitled ‘Accelerating Customer Experience (ACE)’, this year’s conference was attended by PTCL’s top management comprising Senior Executive Vice Presidents, Executive Vice Presidents, Regional General Managers and General Managers from headquarters as well as nation-wide regions of the company.
“With our incredible pool of talent, courage, skill and capacity, we are seeing our company working against all odds and delivering outstanding results this year,” said Mr. Irshaid. “For 2012-2013, we want to take a leap forward with the same morale and spirit in hand.”
Stressing the importance of PTCL’s customer centered approach, Mr. Irshaid said that the company is striving to win, retain and giving customers better experience everyday: “We want to make it easy for our customers to do business with us so that they don’t have to go anywhere else.”
The Way Forward Conference 2012 provided PTCL’s Departmental Heads and Regional General Managers an interactive and engaging opportunity to review past year’s performance, while setting future growth targets and strategies.
During the Annual Awards session, the company’s best performing employees and regions were presented with distinction and cash awards in recognition of their outstanding services.
