First year for Nawras as full service provider at Muscat Festival

As Muscat Festival finishes after its most successful year yet, Nawras is thanking the thousands of customers who visited its stand at Qurm Natural Park throughout the exciting month long event.  Visitors from Oman and abroad were eager to find out more about this customer friendly communications provider, showing particular interest in residential internet services as well as its new mobile music service, Backstage.

For the first time, Nawras was present as a full service provider, not just showcasing its mobile offerings but also talking about the latest home broadband and voice services which will extend to provide coverage to more than 80{e1f18614b95d3cd6e4b3128e1cd15d99b042a60a5a19c19b7a8e07e7495efa10} of Omani households during 2011.  Customers were interested to learn that they can walk into any Nawras Store today and walk out with a plug and play internet connection that they can start using without any delay. Internet packages include a free voice connection and the opportunity to sign up for VoIP to six popular Asian destinations.
There were also lots of questions about Backstage, the new service from Nawras in partnership with Universal Music. This Nawras first gives customers a library of over 120,000 music tracks to download and listen to any time as well as 10 tracks that can be downloaded and kept each month as part of the choice of monthly subscriptions starting from only 1.9 Omani Rials.  After subscribing to Backstage, Nawras customers can be amongst the first to get hold of exclusive material ahead of release dates and even have the opportunity to meet their music heroes, attend recording sessions and win VIP concert tickets.

Tariq Al-Barwani, Head of Corporate Affairs, said, “We were proud to once again have the opportunity to play our part in supporting this key event in the Sultanate of Oman’s calendar.  This year was probably the biggest and best Muscat Festival so far and we were delighted to be present and to have welcomed many new customers to the Nawras family over the duration of the festival as well as having the opportunity to get closer to those already enjoying our pleasingly different services.”
Customers who missed the opportunity to get their welcome pack at the Muscat Festival can still enjoy great value by visiting any Nawras Store or premium dealer in the next few days, to take advantage of the current offers.  For only 2 Rials, Nawras Mousbak (prepaid) packs include 2 Rials of free credit while Nawras Ajel (postpaid) packs give new customers 30 MB of free data browsing plus one month’s free subscription to Rannati service.
Nawras, a Qtel Group company, was named Customer Service Provider of the Year 2010 by CommsMEA and also Brand of the Year 2010 by Superbrands Oman.
